Mekong is a publication platform I created for my senior capstone, that is dedicated to uplifting the histories, voices, and experiences of the Southeast Asian diaspora. Like the river it's named after, Mekong flows across borders- connecting communities and carrying with it the richness, resilience, and diversity of the SEA.

In this issue, I have concentrated on showcasing my homeland, Cambodia, highlighting its history, the collective grief, cuisine, culture, and local moments.
The following showcases consists of: "Discovering Cambodia" Article by David Chandler (Introduction Article), 'How to Defeat Pol Pot' poem by Bunkong Tuon, Angkor Wat Overview & Article, Full Image Spreads, "How A Sleepy Town In Cambodia Won A Place On Unesco's Culinary Map" Article by Lara Dunston, Flavors of Cambodia Guide.

Each issue focuses on one SEA country, split into two editions: Mainland and Maritime. We highlight more than tourism, but local climates, creatives, and diaspora success stories.

Alongside our print issues, we include postcards, mini zines, and sticker packs—preserving authenticity through tangible storytelling. Our distinct graphic style and use of mixed media reflect a return to the personal and timeless.

We go beyond the sea—moving past surface-level views to explore the evolving Southeast Asian identity across borders and generations.
